Mr Adam Millington

I am one of the teachers in Year 1 & 2. I originally studied at Black Firs as a pupil myself and loved primary school that much that I returned as a teacher in September 2015. I studied at Sheffield Hallam University and graduated from my Primary Education Degree with QTS.
I am currently the Computing Coordinator within Black Firs, manage our schools assessment system Earwig and also care for the chickens that we keep at school.
I enjoy a wide range of sports, however my favourite sport is sailing. When I was younger I was part of the Topper National Intermediate Squad which I used to assist with coaching, whereas I now coach the Midlands Regional Training Group during my weekends and holidays. I have travelled to a number of countries through sailing and coaching, the furthest of which was India. At school I love to play rounders and run a rounders club in the summer term along with a chess club at lunch times.
I am a keen reader and love to read a wide range of genres including books by Angie Sage, Simon Scarrow, Rick Riordan and Pittacus Lore. Harry Potter is a particular favourite too!
