Mr Richard Bebbington

Upon leaving Sixth Form I went to university and completed a degree in Exercise with Sport and Coaching Science. I previously worked in a high school maths department before moving into primary education. I have now worked at Black Firs for a good number of years, initially as a teaching assistant until completing my teaching qualification. Alongside my role as Year 6 Class Teacher, I am also the mathematics subject coordinator.
I enjoy being involved with many aspects of school life, but I particularly enjoy being involved in the extra-curricular sporting clubs and helping to run the football and cricket teams in School.
It is a pleasure for me to work with every child and I am proud to work with such a committed and talented group of staff. I am also pleased that my own two children attend Black Firs.
Outside of school I enjoy taking part in many sports, with cricket being my main pastime. Alongside playing league cricket in the local area, I am also a qualified coach.
