The club operates during term time only; although we do have a holiday club run by BeeActive onsite too. Children from the age of 3 can be registered to attend on a regular basis, or pattern to suit parents working shifts.
We also accept children on an ad-hoc basis should parents be experiencing difficulty in collecting after school.
The children are based in the Out Of School Club lounge where there is a wide range of games and equipment. There is a TV & DVD corner with sofas where children can chill-out or a games-console corner where they can play age-appropriate video games PlayStation & Nintendo. We have laptops and iPads with internet access too. Organised activities are planned from time-to-time, if children want to join in, but most of the time the children play-out in the School Grounds or around the School building.
All sessions are bookable online via your PMX ParentMail App under the "Accounts" section. Parents are responsible for booking and paying for sessions online using this app. Please note, we ask for at least 48 hours notice for online bookings. If you require last minute, on the day bookings, please call the school office before 2pm to ensure your child will be offered a snack for the After School Club. Payments can be made to suit finances, i.e. salary payments, please keep the School Office informed of when to expect payments. Cheques, cash and online payments are accepted, as are a wide variety of childcare vouchers. If paying by childcare voucher please inform the school office once a payment has been released to allow for the account to be manually updated. Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am costing £7.00, however, if you require a later drop off time we do offer a short session which runs from 8.20am and is charged at £3.00 per session. Your child will be served toast /cereal /fruit and a drink of milk /water /juice. Breakfast is not served after 8.30am to allow staff time to ensure children are ready for school at 8.45am.
After School Club runs from 3.20pm until 6pm at a cost of £12 per session, we also offer a shorter session provided children are collected before 4.30pm. This is charged at £5.00 per session. Preschool children, Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 are collected from their classrooms and brought to the club. Year 3 to Year 6 children are expected to make their own way to the after school club room where they will be signed in on the register.
School policy states that we are unable to offer a refund of session fees if your child is absent for any reason, including when prior notice has been given. This is because we have already committed staffing and incurred cost. Children will be served a snack such as toast, croissants or donuts and this is varied depending on the term and weather. Fruit and drinks are readily available. No food is served after 5.30pm so as not to spoil children’s teas.
All children need to have left the premises by 6pm. A late fee of £15 will be added to parent accounts who consistently collect later than 6pm without prior notice.
Please ensure that contact numbers are kept up to date with the school office so Out of School Club staff have access to your most current contact details. If you are unable to collect your child please contact staff to inform who will be collecting your child either via the school office or calling the after school club directly 01260 221965.
