School Meals
Our school meals are freshly prepared on site each day by our catering provider, Mellors. Meals are cooked daily using quality ingredients to provide children with a healthy and balanced lunch.

Payment
The charge for a school dinner is currently £3.00 per day. Children can have a meal on any single day of the week - they don't have to have a school meal every day. School meals are ordered at morning register. You can pay for your children's meals through your Arbor parent portal app, by clicking on school meals.
Free School Meals
At Black Firs, children receiving Free School Meals are not distinguished from those having meals that are paid for.
The Free School Meals Team, based in Customer Services at Cheshire East Council wants to promote the uptake of free school meals for Cheshire East pupils. Their aim is to do what they can to ensure pupils who are eligible for free school meals are registered on our system to receive free school meals.

Parents are able to obtain information on the eligibility criteria and can also make an online application. The Free School Meals Team also can be contacted on 0300 123 5012 where applicants can ask any additional queries and make an application over the telephone. Packed Lunches
Children are permitted to bring packed lunches. Please ensure that the lunch is in a plastic container with a lid, and during the warmer months, the food is kept cold with appropriate freezer packs to avoid bacterial growth on food. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to bring hot drinks to school. Canned drinks and glass bottles are not allowed in school.
